On 17th March, the Office of the Northern Ireland Executive in Brussels hosted the fourth annual Ulster Fry Breakfast on St. Patrick’s Day. This annual event provides an opportunity to promote Northern Ireland in Europe and showcase the region’s top produce.
Guests were invited to enjoy a traditional Ulster Fry Breakfast using Northern Ireland’s finest ingredients and listen to renowned Derry born pianist Ruth McGinley. Ruth was invited to perform in the office as part of the Brussels Platform which is a collaboration between the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Executive Office. The platform provides the opportunity for musicians, writers, dancers, theatre practitioners and visual artists to showcase their talent in Brussels with the aim of promoting the culture and creativity of Northern Ireland in Europe. The breakfast was a great success and enjoyed by all invited guests from the European Institutions and other key stakeholders.
