Intro May #3

Dear friends and colleagues,

As we looking forward to the bank holiday weekend in both Belgium and Northern Ireland, we are delighted to this week bring you a mix of art, literature and heritage in our newsletter. We are especially excited to see Máire Zepf win the Children’s Book Award Ireland. She presented her fantastic novel Nóinín during the Transpoesie event in our office last year, certainly a well-deserved win!

The team are also pleased to support the Northern Ireland Mental Health Week theme of “kindness”. Through a huge array of online events, discussions and classes the NI Mental Health Festival is providing anyone who is interested, from anywhere in the world, with access to various initiatives each day based on mental health and well-being.

Finally, over the longer weekend the team have provided information on how to join an evening of traditional live music this Friday, take a virtual tour of historic Enniskillen Castle in our beautiful County of Fermanagh or check out digital exhibitions of some of our best known artists through the Golden Thread Gallery.

We hope you enjoy this week’s selection from Northern Ireland and that you and your loved ones are safe and well. As always, do not hesitate to get in touch, we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Lynsey Moore, Director.
