Intro September #4

Dear friends and colleagues,

This week’s edition of our Newsletter showcases Northern Ireland poetry, drama, history, sport and tourism.

We are delighted to bring you the TRANSPOESIE poetry festival which will feature Northern Ireland Poet Stephen Sexton. Last year we had the pleasure of hosting an event to celebrate Transpoesie in our Office where Northern Ireland’s First Children’s Writing Fellow, Myra Zepf, along with Welsh National poet, Ifor ap Glyn, and Scottish film maker and poet, Roseanne Watt, read excerpts of their amazing work. The audience enjoyed rich and diverse poetry in Irish, Shetlan and Welsh, with English translations provided.

In addition to TRANSPOESIE, our newsletter also features the HERoNI lecture series on local heritage & archaeology; a chance to embrace the Giant Spirit of Northern Ireland; Denouement, an audio recorded reading presented by Lyric Theatre in conjunction with Traverse Theatre; as well as the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, which is being held in Northern Ireland this weekend.

We hope that you are all keeping well and enjoy this week’s Newsletter. As always, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Wishes,
Lynsey Moore, Director
