Dear friends and colleagues,
Whilst these continue to be challenging times, our weekly Newsletters showcase some of the innovative ways you can keep up to date with Northern Ireland’s famous culture, tourism, culinary expertise and literature.
This week we are showcasing a wonderful collaboration between the Centre for Contemporary Art Derry~Londonderry, the Lithuanian Cultural Institute and Kaunas Artists House. Hear from the artists involved in the project as they discuss their experience of this European Collaboration. While right now it is not possible to enjoy the Northern Ireland coast in person, you can take in the breath-taking scenery while enjoying the sounds of local artists at this weekend’s virtual Atlantic Sessions.
We also bring you music from the talented Ulster Youth Orchestra who have released a lockdown recording of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet’s Fantasy Overture, the Mary Ann McCracken Foundation’s ‘Women and the Writing of History’ Virtual Panel Discussion and the The Duncairn ‘Take 2’ arts magazine show.
We hope we will be able to welcome you to our office soon, once the circumstances allow, but we have some virtual events planned for the Autumn and hope to see you at one of those. In the meantime we would be delighted for you to share our Newsletter with your colleagues who might also enjoy experiencing the arts and culture of our region.
