The TRANSPOESIE poetry festival is organised for the 11th consecutive year by EUNIC Brussels, the European Union National Institutes for Culture and celebrates multilingualism by bringing poetry in dozens of languages to Brussels. The festival marks the annual European Day of Languages and Linguistic Diversity on 26 September by organising a series of events in September and October. It will be the third time the Brussels NI Office will participate in the event after welcoming Myra Zepf in 2019 and Stephen Sexton in 2020. This year we are delighted to have Nandi Jola and her beautiful poem which is now on display at Parc Cinquantenaire alongside the other poets involved in the event.

To be in the (k)now – poetry as a means of social expression explores poetry in the contemporary and post-pandemic present, sharing words from around the world in the heart of Europe. The TRANSPOESIE online and in person events will contribute to raising awareness of the diversity of languages by providing a visible platform for their poetic expression. This year's edition of the TRANSPOESIE international poetry festival will take form in hybrid events, including traditional readings and panels, where the audience can meet the poets in person, as well as giving the public space a poetic touch.
