Dear friends and colleagues,

This week we are pleased to bring you more ideas to experience Northern Ireland arts, culture, music and literature.

The famous Sunflowerfest music festival takes place this Saturday and includes local performer Ursula Burns, who you may remember from our Culture Night celebration in Brussels back in 2015! Meanwhile a virtual summer camp will be taking place in the run up to the TEDxStormont event on 1 August. The online summer camp will feature a bespoke and unique online programme catering to a range of interests. Queen’s Film Theatre, in partnership with the Seamus Heaney Centre, presents an exclusive free screening of ‘Seamus Heaney and the Music of What Happens’ for your enjoyment. You can also experience the art of storytelling with Tenx9, a Belfast storytelling podcast which began in 2011 but which now has content and stories from people all over the globe.

With best wishes to you and your loved ones. As always, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Have a lovely weekend. Best wishes,

Lynsey Moore, Director.

We are particularly pleased to see Ursula Burns on the line-up who we previously hosted in our office to celebrate Culture Night 2015. Seamus Heaney and the Music of What Happens

Queen’s Film Theatre, in partnership with the Seamus Heaney Centre, presents an exclusive free screening of ‘Seamus Heaney and the Music of What Happens’ available to watch from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July. The 90-minute documentary film offers a poignant insight into the life of 1995 Nobel Prize of Literature winner, undoubtedly one of Ireland’s greatest poets. It shows an intimate portrait of the poet and how his work continues to resonate today.
