The Children of Lir

Belfast based artists Noel Andrew Harron, Amiee Magee and Xavier Macade Costa have created a fantastic version of the ‘The Children of Lir’. The production is supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and is a part of Skewbald Theatre’s ‘Digitales’. Based on the well-known legend, the magical journey interweaves storytelling, puppetry, original song/music, and zany characters to bring young audiences a message of caring for the environment as well as introducing them to some of the famous myths of Ireland. This film was produced using recycled and repurposed materials. The first part of the film is available now on the Skewbald Theatre’s website with the second part due for release on 31 October.
