Dear friends and colleagues,

This week’s Newsletter includes something a bit different as Craft NI is hosting ‘Pinned’ presenting the work of 23 local jewellers and silversmiths who have each responded to the exhibition's theme to produce one-of-a-kind pieces, giving us the opportunity to purchase a unique item and support a local business.

Not to be missed this week is C21 Theatre, who you may remember from their performance of ‘May the Road Rise Up’ at the Bozar in Brussels, presenting the first film from their Reminiscence Project ‘Through the Glass’ which gives a wonderful insight into times past.

For musical entertainment, Dún Uladh and Portico of Ards host online concerts. Videos from An Cultúrlann Artworks and Craft NI offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in beautiful art and jewellery design. As always, we hope that you and your family are keeping well as we continue to bring you the best of Northern Ireland culture, art, tourism and entertainment.

Best Wishes,
Lynsey Moore, Director

Craft NI: ‘Pinned’ Jewellery exhibition

Craft NI is hosting the first group exhibition from the Association for Contemporary Jewellers and Silversmiths Northern Ireland. ‘Pinned’ presents the work of 23 local jewellers and silversmiths who have each responded to the exhibition's theme to produce one-of-a-kind pieces. The exhibition features over 50 variations on the idea of a brooch, with versions in both precious and non-precious materials. Traditionally set stones contrast with re-purposed vintage tins and toys, precision geometry meets abstract forms. Gold, silver and gemstones sit alongside found objects in unexpected interpretations that demonstrate technical accomplishment, innovation and creativity. The show offers a wonderful opportunity to purchase a unique piece and support a local business. Why not get inspired and watch this 2 minute video?
