St. Patrick’s Day Festivities

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and although the current restrictions mean that celebrations will be a bit different this year, the good news is you can join in from wherever you are in the world. Watch the short video which tells the story of St. Patrick growing from a young boy into adulthood. The video was filmed at sites across Fermanagh and Omagh District for the launch of the 2021 series of events and activities that will be held from 12th to 20th March. Can you recognise any of the heritage sites?

Belfast Beauty in Lockdown

Enjoy this new music video, which explores the deserted streets of Belfast City. Anthony Toner joined us in Brussels in November 2018 along with poet Frank Ormsby. Anthony was virtually with us last January where he performed live as part of ‘A Taste of Belfast and Brussels’. This new song brings to the forefront some of the difficulties we are all facing but it brings hope in showing that we are all in it together and awaiting the return of normal life in our beloved cities.

Live Performance of ‘Entity’ / ‘Spéirbhean’

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a multi-artform film shoot during a pandemic? Join the four women behind the film ‘Spéirbhean’ / ‘Entity’ for a bilingual ‘in conversation’ event that will mix choreography, spoken word and photography. Hear Clara Kerr, Jo Guthrie, Myra Zepf and Aisling McElroy as they look back on the experience and answer your questions during the Ar Chúl an Stáitse / Meet the Makers event. The premier of the film is this Friday 12th March at 7pm: the piece illustrates how women of all ages can rejoice in the lifecycle of their bodies. The performance will stream on An Chultúrlann Facebook and YouTube.
